Look at the map of Iran and see that from just about anywhere they can launch Shahed targeting any location in the area.

Largest Shahed attack has had nearly 1 000 drones.

@dansup no duplicated content in the local cache ( binary deduplication ), reduce instance request flooding by sharing the load with other instances in the federation, data integrity verification instead of trust me bro.

@dansup the point would be that the Mastodon instances would be the gateway servers, not the end user clients.

Megaconstellations like Starlink will increase atmospheric aluminum oxide amounts to 646% over natural levels ( +360 metric tons / year ).

It will take up to 30 years for the aluminum oxides to drift down to stratospheric altitudes, where 90% of Earth's ozone is located.

Once there aluminum oxide will act as a catalyst with chlorine harming the ozone layer.

Speech recognition will come to all cars at some point in time and thus will require hardly no knobs of any kind.

The benefit of limited speech command set is that the driver can fully concentrate on the driving no distractions whatsoever.
