Vroeger hadden we in 10 jaar tijd plm 20 tropische dagen.

Tegenwoordig hebben we in 10 jaar ~50 tropische dagen, en een stuk of 4 dagen >35 graden.

Bij tegenvallend klimaatbeleid of een heel gevoelig klimaat stijgt dit naar 120 tropische dagen per 10 jaar in 2050, en zelfs 335 tropische dagen per 10 jaar in 2100, waarvan 60 dagen >35C. Da's dus elk jaar een hittegolf van anderhalve maand.

Bij 0% uitstoot in 2050 verdubbelt het aantal tropische dagen nog wel, maar stijgt het niet verder.

@nemeciii @pkuipersmunneke a popular explanation is that regular, conservative parties have started to mimick far-right parties and adopt anti-immigrant views, and now voters are starting to prefer “the original”, hence the move from right to far-right

Despite the headlines, Dutch #EU #election results provide subtle change, away from centre-right to left, and to far-right

Progressive, pro-EU parties (Green/SocDems, LibDems D66, Volt, Party for Animal Rights) together won 14 seats (+2 from 2019).

Conservative right-wing parties (VVD, Christian Dems, NSC, 50+, SGP, Christian Union CU) had the strongest loss with 9 seats (-3 from 2019).

Far-right anti-European parties (PVV, Farmer's Party, Forum for Democracy) went from 5 to 8 seats (+3).
