A lot of people hate Jews and/or #Israel, so I am not surprised that they chose the more popular "slow war" tactic, even if that means more suffering in the long run. The best way to not make the West mad is, like I said, have a war that lasts forever and never win it.
BTW, I suspect that behind the scenes a lot of this is rooted in the military industrial complex, as forever wars are extremely good for our military contracting companies.
Just saying, the #IDF could probably very easily have obliterated #Hamas by now while committing half of the human rights/ #GenevaConventions/international law violations that they have, if it was not for the loathing that the West holds for the cost of winning a war. Killing Palestinians is all fine and dandy if it happens slowly over a long period of time rather than all at once.
Not to say that this is all bad; part of this is due to the West’s appreciation of rights and human rights; it’s not like we should have told #Israel to “level the place” like #LindseyGraham did. But there’s a way to tell a country to defeat its enemies who haven’t just attacked them, but declared war on them without doing all that. Instead, we focus on ceasefires, as if giving #Hamas a breather will get them to stop killing Jews.
Depending on the type of stock, the investor y'all are talking about might be qualified as an official stockholder who therefore can influence the company. Could be the case here; but to get your way you would have to influence other stockholders. 15% is not enough stock to control a company.
@benroyce@CaptMorgan@lauren@freemo I’m saying “learn to read” because you have been demonstrating an embarrassingly low literacy level throughout this entire thread.
Again, if you think I’m defending #TikTok in any way, you need to learn how to read, and then try again.
@benroyce@CaptMorgan@lauren@freemo Just curious! I want to be fair to you. Your reading comprehension is REALLY poor, but if #English isn’t your first language, it’d be uncool for me to criticize you for that.
@benroyce@CaptMorgan@lauren@freemo Haha well, I’m glad you had fun with the thread at least! Hope you have a good rest of your day and you spend it learning the #English language lol
> With school salaries struggling to be competitive, teachers are less inclined to stay on the job. They’re pursuing other careers, in education and other industries. This trend is especially evident among so-called STEM educators, specializing in science, technology, engineering and math, and those who teach foreign languages, whose skill sets can lead to more lucrative professions. > > Prospective teachers are also less likely to pursue education careers in the first place. Wage competitiveness has weakened especially for teachers ages 20 to 30.
@housepanther@bot@housepanther Kill the unions because they make it harder to fire bad teachers, and double the pay because the good teachers aren't getting paid enough.
I don't think you know much about what it's like to be a teacher.
