[UPDATE: literal question has been answered, but funny replies still welcome ;)]
so is "spotify wrapped" a music condom?
what is this and why does it matter, as someone who doesn't know what spotify is exactly other than some kind of music app?

i'm in a float (i'm in a float)
i'm in a float (i'm in a float)
everybody look at me
cause i'm storing stuff as floats (stuff as floats!)
i'm in a float (i'm in a float) i'm in a float
take a good hard look at this exponential bloat (bloat, yeah!)
for all its faults I still really enjoy this show
I feel like this Hulu stream is from a 480p widescreen source or something. Maybe 720p tops? Definitely not 1080.
though considering when it came out i'm lucky the effects are widescreen
*flashbacks to babylon 5 dvd release*
on the next episode now, a more detailed setup for the reavers storyline.
(on the tech end, i'm about 99% sure this is the anamorphic 480p master used from the DVD release that's being streamed here. good clean digital picture, but just not HD level of pixel detail)
gorram reavers!
*everybody runs around and panics*
*defederates from reaver space*
you cannot fast travel when anemones nearby
@evan just wizard stuff
Tweaked my palette selection to tune itself a bit better for the dithering, and I'm pretty happy with the results so far.
If I can make this output on the real Atari, it should look decent on the composite video, especially if I cycle between two frames dithered distinctly.
Each scan line swaps out 3 of the 4 colors, with black constant.
On this image you can see the error diffusion dither w/ palette pruning selects some more accurate beiges at the top of the background, but towards the bottom the red/orange chicken suit costume forces more saturated reds, oranges, and greens into the dither pattern.
Current code is proof of concept spaghetti JS; next step will be to rewrite it in clean Rust I can run in my build step to make the Atari executable.
this is pretty much my look these days
aaaaand i'm updated to mastodon 4.0.1 ;)
cool cool
but before you go into any of that let me ask you something:
is this feature (activitypub streams of user contributions) even what cscott asked for? first, ask questions about what the asked-for feature would look like.
@evan @cscott I do think it bears thinking about *what* events one wants to expose in some kind of social feature, what they look like, what people are expected to do with them and how they will react to them and with what tools.
I'd want to think about all those things long before choosing particular protocols came into the picture.
@evan @cscott would this expose people to new types of interactions? Will there be new avenues of harassment?
Would off-site federation features open up additional harassment features? How would you integrate this into the moderation tools already available to the user community?
Ah, Mudd's back! Episode starts off with McCoy and Spock trading racist barbs at each other instead of stopping the dude who's taking over the ship
nerd, weirdo, person, whatever. i enjoy bad puns and you will see them. i also like going off on random tangents about tech, movies, or other random things of interest. fun activities include having mental health and flight simulation.you may enjoy my work on mediawiki & wikipedia, or my wacky webassembly codecs. or my cat photos!formerly of mastodon.technology and identi.ca (so it goes)no bio means no follow request approval! just be cool. :)
