The beige colors are sometimes represented by desaturated yellows and light browns and grays, other times by mixes of green and red and black and gray, depending on other color usage.

On this image you can see the error diffusion dither w/ palette pruning selects some more accurate beiges at the top of the background, but towards the bottom the red/orange chicken suit costume forces more saturated reds, oranges, and greens into the dither pattern.
Current code is proof of concept spaghetti JS; next step will be to rewrite it in clean Rust I can run in my build step to make the Atari executable.
