@sim@augustus@lain the only difference is that the war wouldve been less bloody, and the ukrainian people would permanently live in a even MORE corrupt and even worser country, would "we" the west have meddled less, but this war was inevitable solely due to one man's imperialistic decision. Many less immediate instant deaths, but so many more worse lives, lives worse than living in an active warzone. "Our" response is a reaction of self defence against a true first strike.
There's a fucking REALLY FUCKING OBVIOUS REASON why 0% OF THE FORMER USSR STATES ARE A PART OF BRICS (belarus not counted due to being, for all intents and purposes, an occupied oblast[see 2022 union state declaration]) and it's not "other economic cooperation organizations gave us better options"
its "I dont want to be genocided AGAIN for the 8th time this century by russia AGAIN." and despite that, remember, NO sanctions against russia by ANY of the aformentioned countries, and russia was PLEASED to completion by "us" after 2014 with your exact words of "We should give in to russia's needs as they declare"
We did give in We gave in to georgia (how many times?) We gave in to Crimea and Donbas regions (for how many years) we gave in to ignoring certain internal russian tragedies the collective west, gave in plenty of times in many places in many years in the past 25 years, and every single time we gave in, the next year we had to give in to something bigger. God forbid i mention the full last 35 years. Transnistria, Chechen wars (how many?), Dagestan, the multiple pre-USSR-dissolution genocides, the current selective-genocide of minority peoples in russia. A bilnd eye has been turned many times, and still today some falter: "What if they do something worse if we dont appease them?"
the big mafia's been appeased and this active acute war is purely the result of said appeasement and indecision. And if they get appeased again, guess what happens next? It will NOT BE SATIATION
"i think its equally bad for eastern europe under russia as it's under the EU" could not be any foolisher
reread: brics sentence from earlier post
and as for the last paragraph: "boohoo slightly double-think words scary, god i wish i was shot in the fucking face by the even more hyper-militarized riot police than the USA's, for saying obama is a nigger, instead"
i cannot partake in this discussion with you, there's SO MANY objectively wrong underlying beliefs i cannot refute them all by next week at this rate
@sim@augustus@lain none of this carries over into eastern europe at all because those 1984-adjacents are not part of the required things for EU. it's part of the local country, it's a STATE-wide issue, and blaming the EU for the UK taking in 100 000 immigrants when other countries in the EU just - didnt do that - with no reprecussions - is kind of ultimate proof of it being rather unrelated to the great one world order forged of the EU's (or US's, or Rothchild's, or whoever the fuck is the boogeyman's) mighty power. Blaming the EU for germany having some of the most restrictive hate speech laws imagineable - statements dreamed by the deranged. Same for health care systems. Same for taxation systems. Same for population immigration. Most of those were done by yourself, to yourself, and barely influenced by the "great big luxemburg EU HQ". Yeah, GERMANY wants others to do as it does, but you dont HAVE to agree to it. UK , fully ditto. Almost None of those decisions were neither compulsory, or EU-wide.
one had to be an absolute idiot to not google any one of nigel farage's claims pre-brexit and find out that 95% of what he claimed was a straight up lie, the rest, half truth. And why was he such a useless politician? Because he couldnt fix any of the issues he claimed were bringing the country down - BECAUSE THEY WERENT THE ROOT CAUSES OF PROBLEMS "oh its others who are at fault, and definitely NOT ME VOTE FOR ME VOTE FOR ME YEAAAAAH IM FUCKING BADASS LOOK IM GONNA CUT OFF ALL THOSE PEOPLE TAKING MONEY FROM OUR GREAT NATION" "oh wait they were a objective net gain to our economy? i mean i knew that i just didnt think i'd have to say this out loud"
If your country is the most draconian out of all the countries of the collective west (maybe exception of australia that shit is fucking scary) - what does that entail? It entails that you have to escape the UK, not the bigger group called the "collective west"
@sim@augustus@lain "i would prefer the evil that is significantly better at being evil, than the one that consistently fails at the exact same evils" surely
@sim@augustus@lain because your statement will lead to communism and communism to more death yin and yang you fucking dumbass no one's perfect, and you're far from it yourself, and thats why we have to prefer the least evil
@lain i saw an insane (pronounced: low-IQ) man last month
here's the story: A man called in: "Hello i would like a spruce tree felled. How much" [...]"Probably 150-350€ based on your description, i can only tell when i see it" "ok, thanks for the info"
a few days go by
"Hello, I called regarding a spruce tree. Could you come take it down? It should be easy and cheap, the tree is tilted in the right direction for felling and i tried to fell it myself but you see, my chainsaw got stuck" "ok" (thats weird, but i have an assumption about the chainsaw)
drive there, and pic related is what is the situation at hand
tree is tilted STRONGLY towards a building (not towards the empty space) an electric chainsaw is stuck in the tree as pictured. (assumption from earlier correct) the tree is barely holding on from a tiny wooden hinge still left uncut.
"what the fuck, this tree's gonna fall on your house if you cut it like this" "really :o ?" "remove the chainsaw from the tree" "but its stuck" "unscrew it from the saw bar" "ah" "you realize you were less than 2 seconds of cutting away from causing several thousand euros of property damage to your house right and it could even happen RIGHT NOW any second" "no" "yes"
chainsaw removed from tree
idea: throw rope over tree, pull tree over with rope in the right direction
excecution: throw a throw-line over the ~~18m tall tree (a millimeter thin rope that supports about 60kg weight pull with a weight at the end of the rope). throwline throw was a failure, cant get it to come back down (too much friction over too many branches), pulling it back down, it gets stuck somewhere at the top of the tree
try pulling throwline, tree moves back (just a little bit).
tree wood hinge snaps when tree falls back into natural position (very slight movement) hold now-fully-loose-spruce-tree by a millimeter rope stuck somewhere in the canopy of the spruce probably just vaguely around a branch
pivot spruce tree to side by holding on to the millimeter rope and rotating it around its base (very scary)
tree BARELY falls sideways and misses the fence as the throw-line rope is being pulled in the direction away from the fence
haha FUCK
"how much money" "150€" "i only have 50€" "FUCK OFF GIVE ME 150€" "but i really dont have any more, can i do the payment in parts?"
