@mialikescoffee that just means a few very large instances are federating with threads and a large number of smaller instances are defederating or limited.

In other words, it’s a representation of the real world where a large majority of people just follow trends set by people of influence and are content with just belonging, and many different minority groups are trying to loosely hang together to form a defense against their complete eradication by the enormous majority’s inertia.

Many autistic people will show empathy by telling a similar anecdote from their own lives in response to vents. It’s not an attempt at one-up-manship nor is it pity olympics. It’s how they show they care after listening, analyzing, relating to and feeling your suffering.

I’ve always been a PC master race, only owned one NES compatible cheap console as a little kid but the PC was always there.

I look at PC gaming with nostalgia because it’s the only gaming I experienced.

What I’m trying to say is, it depends on the person (and culture) I think. US and Japan are much more console heavy than most other places. Eastern Europe is almost exclusively PC for example, or they own consoles alongside their PCs.

Without transparent vision into every issue that's raised, we can't form healthy opinions on anyone.

Given how disjointed and isolated fedi experiences are by design, we NEED the receipts to understand what's going on.
