@Infoseepage @gregeganSF Arguably, such interdependence is good. It obviously has short term benefits (otherwise it would not evolve), and once established it provides a motivation for avoiding hard conflicts, as the losses would outweigh any potential gains. You can apply the same argument to humans - we are desperately dependent on those around us. The lone hunter on the steppe is lucky if he has _good_ stone tools.

@gregeganSF Only TSMC can make the chips we all need, but only ASML can build the machines that TSML needs to make the chips, but only Trumpf can make the laser systems that ASML needs to build the machines, but only Zeiss can provide the optics that Trumpf needs to make the laser systems. This is the reality of the modern world economy. Now lets throw in some random tariffs....

@amalia12 @aral Indeed. I don't usually do accessories, and the t-shirt spot is reserved for nerd stuff. But I'd certainly wear those. Any hint on where they are typically sold?

@kangaroo5383 To err is human, but a computer allows you to really scale it up!

@goatsarah Trying to pull seniority on someone you don't know is not really a power move. Nor does it advance the discussion.

@goatsarah Why do you think "techbros" are a homogenous amorphous mass with a single will? Do you even have a working definition of what a "techbro" is? This sounds like classical prejudice to me - invent a group, then ascribe all opinions by one member to the group as a whole.

@ariadne @eff I disagree. EFF is, as usual, taking the long and broad view, and they are right. As far as I can tell, KiwiFarms does not have a contractual relationship with with Hurricane Electric. So they are not bound by their TOS/AUP. I know nothing about KiwiFarms except what's in the EFF article. They sound horrible. But we do not destroy bridges because some awful people use them.
