Is there a place in the #FediVerse where you can create a closed/private community with discussion boards/forums, etc?

I'm thinking of something that would have the functionality of things like Facebook groups, Circle, and Telegram groups.

It would be for members/subscribers to my magazine as a place to share and discuss various sign painting themes, a lot of which currently happens in Facebook groups.
