   Almost every day, there's a news event that features a cis white woman who is either a reactionary politician, the head of a government agency for a fascist regime, or the latest figurehead who steps forward to be the public face of political action against various marginalized groups.

   It's a non-stop reminder that white women do racist patriarchy as well as any man and are just as eager to participate.

   @dalias @gwynnion It's a long tangent, but I've seen backsliding on basic equality and fairness even in left groups with feminism near the top of their mission statement.

   Like, in the 90s, left groups I knew usually had a slight majority of women, and would scrupulously divide tasks evenly; most groups I see now have an overwhelming majority of men, and there's often a gendered division of labor within the groups.

   It's like the theory is better but the practice is worse.

   Do This: April 19th list of protests

   Okay, so remember when I told everybody to hold April 19th? Here’s where you can search for a 50501 event near you, and there are definitely going to be other events on the same day by other groups.

   It will NOT be as big as April 5th. But a good turnout is important – and basically will continue to be important for months and months.

   The next really massive turnout day looks like it’s going to be May 1st, though. Reserve the day. Indivisible is cooking something up, 50501 will be in on it, so will a lot of other people, or so I hear. Put it on your calendar now, so you’re ready.

   Here are some other April 19 events in the Seattle area, compiled by Indivisible. I’m sure you can find something to do.

   Is there a place in the #FediVerse where you can create a closed/private community with discussion boards/forums, etc?

   I'm thinking of something that would have the functionality of things like Facebook groups, Circle, and Telegram groups.

   It would be for members/subscribers to my magazine as a place to share and discuss various sign painting themes, a lot of which currently happens in Facebook groups.

   France has just announced a campaign for early Covid19 booster vaccination & intends to make it accessible and free to all.

   An urgent recommendation is being made for at-risk groups.

   It will be rolled out together with the flu shot for logistical reasons.
