There are only two hard things in computer science: Naming things, cache invalidation and off-by-one errors.
    Currently, it is naming things.

I am reorganising my disks, my games disk has been called Gilgamesh, which hasn't really followed any theme beyond "it starts with g".
So, the new games disk... Should I just give it some g-name that sounds relevant (I'll probably base it on the fact that it is smaller than the last one), or should I try to pick a thematic name based on my computer's current name (yun-wuxin, I probably can't do it because I never actually read ATG far enough for that character to appear, I just got the name from another reader), or from something bird-related in preparation for whenever I next reinstall and change my computer's name to a bird?

@Suiseiseki >gparted can ask for the root password just fine
    Incorrect:
    yun-wuxin:[wisknort]:~$ gparted
localuser:root being added to access control list
Error executing command as another user: No authentication agent found.
localuser:root being removed from access control list

It defers in some way, and the DE is expected to pick it up from there, and hyprland defers that to the user to sort out, and I never bothered to do so. (I believe I just need to install some package, but see above for why I haven't.)

    >you can just run it as roog.
    Also incorrect:
    yun-wuxin:[wisknort]:~$ sudo gparted
    [sudo] password for wisknort:
Authorization required, but no authorization protocol specified

    (gpartedbin:21653): Gtk-WARNING **: 22:51:57.774: cannot open display: :0

I don't know how it comes out with a different auth error, or why, but I assume that's not actually breaking it, I assume it is the display issue, and that's non-trivial to fix, especially with the extra layer of abstraction involved (xwayland).
Although, interestingly, unsetting DISPLAY manages to suppress the authorisation error (what), but it still can't open a null display.

@Suiseiseki I can't lol, I don't have a... Way for GUI programs to prompt for elevated privileges.
And since gparted is the only thing that I ever want this for, it's easier to use fdisk.

Simplifying Certificate Renewals for Millions of Domains with ACME Renewal Information (ARI)
Nick Silverman is a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on the Edge Infrastructure team at Shopify, where he maintains the systems that provision, renew, and publish SSL certificates for millions of merchants’ custom domains. He is also a contributor to the Ruby acme-client gem. The challenge Shopify’s automated certificate management system relied on a static renewal threshold: 30 days before the end of the 90-day lifetime. To spread the load of provisioning and renewing certificates, we implemented a random 0–72 hour delay for each. While this helps evenly distribute certificate management over time, it did not take into account the Certificate Authority’s (CA) load. It was also incapable of reacting to a dynamic renewal window based on information provided by the CA.
