I've worked some more on my eurorack case. I've drilled holes for the PSU and bus board and someone gave me a hint to check out "tubed wood paste" (I have absolutely no idea what it's called in English) and I'm using that to fill out the tiny gaps between the frame and the box instead of hiding them with a very thin wooden panel which was my initial plan. It seems to work out pretty well but includes a lot of applying the weird wood-glue paste, let it dry, sand it down, repeat. I think it will turn out OK :)

I think my DIY eurorack case is coming along nicely.

There are some ugly gaps between the frame and the wood that I'm going to fix tomorrow. I also have to fasten the frame, PSU, bus board, cute handles and some corner protection thingys. When all this is done I'm going to sand down all visible parts and give it a nice dark brown finishing. I'm thinking either oak or mahogany-like.

Yay my eurorack frame arrived. It looks sick! Looks like more parts will arrive tomorrow so I'll spend the weekend working on the case and building modules. I can't wait!

Looking into, mostly DIY, eurorack chassis and it's a jungle. I have so much to learn.

Ooh, cool. I've been eyeing the DrumBS as well. If you ever get around building those, give me a shout and I'll maybe order some as well. From what I heard from the demonstration videos they sound pretty good.

I actually got the drum kit from rakit in the mail today. I'm not super happy about the form factor but it will probably be a fun weekend build.

Yay my components for the Harmonic Engine arrived today.

@kaia I don't use debian instead of Arch, but I found this problem so god damn annoying that I finally installed an ftp server on my phone that I'll spinn up when I want to transfer files. Jsmtp or whatever it's called almost drove me insane :(

@phnt @kaia imagine all the pi:s living in drawers not having been used in years, in a pile. That is probably a huuuuuge pile. Also kind of sad.

@kaia this is kind of sad. When the raspberry pis became so beefed up, power hungry and expensive the kind of lost relevance for me
