You know what's going to really suck for people with mobility issues? Runaway climate change.

The problem I have with EVs is they still use large amounts of resources in mining and manufacturing, and it still requires the same road infrastructure. It's sort of like saying it's okay I'm having this slice of cake because I was planning to have two, so really I'm cake neutral. We need to move to public transport, bikes and ebikes and only as a last resort EVs.

So thousands of programmers have been laid off recently, they can almost all work remotely and we all need to get off US tech as quickly as possible. Seems like the perfect opportunity to fund an open source collaborative suite of products to replace meta, alphabet, microsoft apple and amazon.

@Shrigglepuss absolutely this. Much easier to reduce software bloat than improve your hardware. Ran xubuntu for years on an old laptop and probably got better or equivalent performance than most modern laptops available new, really great.

Elon fired or drove out all the competent staff, the incompetent or visa reliant ones remain. He's pushing large complex features for the "everything" app. Rushed stressed programmers who hate you don't write secure stable code. Can't see how this just doesn't keep getting worse and worse.
