@freemohttps://github.com/statping/statping Since the server seems to have eaten this post, I don't know if it reached you. Have you considered using some sort of status page (on a separate sub-domain?)? Here's an example of one.
@BeAware I also went looking through a few accounts which appeared from there before, and a lot of them were once active but didn't appear to be any more. It's not thorough though.
@BeAware There is a very long list of rules so I guess it could be almost anything.
I'm also seeing a misrepresentation of the law to avoid making a potentially controversial policy decision (if the community finds some kinks to be unpleasant to deal with, can we at least be upfront about that? I don't think anyone expects every small instance to deal in every kind).
@damagecontrolblog@wjmaggos@BeAware What if someone deliberately provokes others (even making themselves as visible as possible) then hides behind the thing? I've seen this happen quite a few times.
@BeAware@meesj@emanuelegori They also appear to be severely over-blocking (this doesn't seem proportionate for someone who claims to follow human rights standards).
It seems less like they're trying to pull from the fediverse, as much as they're targeting people on a few large instances (who are also likely to be the least savvy ones).
It also neutralizes the promise of decentralization by centralizing users on a few large instances (see, they are just like us).
@freemo Even if someone writes something, chances are they won't bother to (really) read it, and it's buried somewhere where hardly anyone will see it.
