@adamconover it sounds like a lot less work to just setup a VM somewhere for 5 bucks a month, and chuck wireguard onto it, and run your own wireguard vpn - because then at least you also get a little server in the cloud, and you can use that as part of your infra as well!

@adamconover mullvad says they're torrent friendly, but if you're even halfway good at linux cmdline, you could nab the wireguard roadwarrior shellscript from github, its a one shot script to create any 5 dollar vps you can setup anywhere into a wireguard endpoint.

also, so long as you're using private trackers it shouldnt be a big deal. (i may have a couple invites kicking around)

before the plauge, I used to travel about once every 6 weeks for conferencing. phobos doesnt have sales or marketing people, so to get the word out its me going to conferences and presenting. I'd find hotels with 'breakfast available' but it was always pretty lame. cheapest possible stuff, left out, stale. bleh.

vx-underground is reporting that the recent twitter leak of ~400 million accounts was gathered because attackers were able to scrape data out of the API.

Basically, if you tried to log into twitters api using a phone number, it would tell you what username the number was attached to.

so they just cycled through every possible number, and hoovered up every possible number and what account it was attached to. same with email.
