@gruni@Blender It does have a vibe of "Feed me, Seymour" when they start out fistfucking creative people, then begin running out of material to feed the content extruder and then go on to make sure the best tools are supported to keep the pipeline flowing.
@killyourfm@myTerminal I have arrived at the conclusion that if someone I know enough for that kind of communication suggests a new *sensible* platform I am not already using, that is fine, I will use it. You have taken up Session or SimpleX: Cool. Let's do that. Even between Signal, Matrix, Delta Chat, Nextcloud Talk and Threema, I have a pretty good idea where people are. Of course, all this is for private communications, so not on a huge scale.
" [AI is] like a restaurant selling granite rocks for dessert. Nobody will buy them or eat them—so the product fails miserably. But if a popular restaurant adds a dollar to the meal price, and gives every customer a rock with their bill—well, then they can say that: * Every customer gets rocks for dessert. * Every customer pays for it. * Their business is more profitable because of the tasty granite rocks.
This is how AI accounting works in Silicon Valley."
Perhaps, in these AI times, this ever-current #XKCD comic should be brought up again. ~ And never was there as great an Alt-text as with this one: "The moment their arms spun freely in our air, they were doomed -- for Man has earned his right to hold this planet against all comers, by virtue of occasionally producing someone totally batshit insane." The answe is there. Somehow.
@_elena You are, looking at Google, Bing and Kagi, completely discoverable outside of those media sites. So I feel there is little need, except if you want to communicate that there are healthier media spaces.
Someone posted or boosted a post about a very good and very yellow German website for checking a phone for how long it receives updates and recommendations for use. I can not seem to find the post now, any ideas?
