Am now watching episode 5 of “Kill Me Love Me” 🌸 It is highly unlikely that a falling maiden is caught in the arms of a hero on horseback in the middle of a burning building. Nevertheless it is an awfully romantic idea so who cares about realism 😄

Just finished watching “Are you the One” with Zhang Wangyi and Wang Churan 🌸 In my mind it is one of the best dramas of the year. It is an understated, historical drama with some wuxia elements. The attraction is the layered nature of how the main and side couples are portrayed. They are evenly balanced hence they disguise themselves and save each other in turn. The 3 main couples are well defined and each have a convincing arc that weaves into the court intrigue plot.

@AnnaAnthro That drama looks so good in the trailer and clips. After a very quiet 2024, the dramas are now dropping like crazy 😄

In episode 19 of “Are You the One” Liu Miantang and Cui Xingzhou share their first kiss at the street festival 🌸 She asks him if he wants to know what hatred tastes like and then kisses him. The kiss has so many layers, because she knows that he has been deceiving her and she is now also deceiving him, but they have developed real feelings for each other. So they love and hate each other at the same time.

@liztai That was a funny scene. Quite many layers beneath the humour, too. Sadly, work is preventing me from watching episodes regularly but I’m quite enjoying the drama.

@liztai The game was even mentioned in local, Danish newspapers but they focused more on the fact that some employers have given people time off to play the game 😄

Am watching episode 10 of “You Are the One” with Zhang Wanyi and Wang Churan 🌸 The first arc seems to be coming to a close and Xingzhou has many comedic scenes where he is struggling, because his deception with his fake marriage needs to end but he has realized that he much prefers playing house with Miantang than entering into an official marriage at the palace.

@liztai I just started watching this. Have watched one episode so far. I quite like Zhang Wangyi trying to pretend that he is Wang Churan’s husband. I’m not entirely sure why he is pretending but she has amnesia and so can’t remember but she is clever so she isn’t really falling for his act.

There is a sense that he is a military leader but out of his depth with this pretend marriage 😄 I think it will be cute, especially when I work out what’s actually going on…

Watching episode 27 of “The Princess Royal” 🌸 The second couple has a sweet chemistry and balance out the main couple well. Chen Guo and Yi Daqian do a great job in their roles.
