   Love these posters. Currently at ep 20 of #AreYoutheOne & it's still great. I can understand why it is rated 8 at Douban. Despite naysayers saying that it's rigged or that Douban has lost credibility, y impression is that its romance is not the typical idealistic romance, so expectations are dashed. The complaints I see - Liu Miantang is so mean to Cui Xiantang / Cui is such a gaslighter. The thing is, people are awful when in love, and it takes maturity to appreciate this.

     @liztai I’ve read the critiques and genuinely thought they were describing another series!
     I am really enjoying the script and the acting. There’s a subtle twist in pacing & motivations to the traditional romance tropes. It is oddly cerebral.

     @AnnaAnthro I am a bit befuddles by how they view the characters. I am gonna say this and prob risk being flamed but I think most of these comments are coming from people who are either you or immature. They want perfect, idealistic couples. While this couple's situation is rather fantastic, I find their interactions grounded in reality and mutual respect. That's the allure for me.
