Never thought that a drama about shenanigans at a bank would win me over The Double but it is what it is 🤭
"Bank on Me" is an underdog story. Our hero, Lin Qiang, is too upright to be a "team player". So, HQ tries to make him quit by demoting him. Didn't work. So, they promoted him. Lin is worried about the sudden good favour from the bosses. And he was right...it was the start of an even bigger plot against him.
I don't think I would have survived office politics at a bank ☠️

@liztai if you can find this Japanese drama, Hanzawa Naoki. It’s clearly meant to be MUFG. Some great acting.
Bank politics is wild. I didn’t survive it. 3 major banks so far. I doubt I’ll work at one again. Customers are taken for granted, cash cows to milk. The competition is all internal.

Yea I worked in a bank all of 6 months. It was enough for me. Even there, considered not a huge branch of the HQ, it was very cut throat and awful. I swear people who work in banks are either sharks or robots

@Sollenbum I say just watch one to three episodes to see if you like it. I am a bit of a finance geek, I admit, but this one has crazy twist and turns and really good character writing
