@quinn One of my local papers got bought by Jeff Bezos, the other got bought by Sinclair. Seems like the only way to stay afloat right now is to shill for right wing billionaires. Hopefully a new model will emerge, but I'm pessimistic.

@quinn The newsroom has never been sustainable on its own, though. Only a small number of them have ever made money. They had to be combined with something else that did.
