My cornish pasty reviews:

* some place in San Luis Obespo that has since closed down: avocados are delicious but do not belong in a Cornish pasty

* that place by the pier in Seattle. Terrible. Confused empanadas.

* that pasty shop in Port Townsend, WA. Better than no pasty but far from authentic.

* cornish pasty shop in Flagstaff AZ, and reheated the next day, and eaten in a dusty highway rest area in mojave: amazing. Best Cornish pasties in the US

We took online first aid classes with the red cross.

Both for humans and for pets :-)

If you've never taken first aid classes before, these online classes are very useful and very affordable (we only paid for one class that we did together).

It's a bit “corporate training" like - but unlike the stuff HR forces you to do - it's actually a useful topic.

Wrote an example for Compute that runs Conway's Game of Life and encodes it to video…

It's able to generate 4K frames at several hundred fps. (The H264 encoding is much slower.

A Swift package for writing and working with Metal compute shaders.

It's inspired (*) by SwiftUI's new-ish Shader functionality.

It really helps reduce the amount of boilerplate required to work with compute shaders.

I've been working on a tool i call "Compute" to allow you to easily interface with Compute shaders in a manner similar to how SwiftUI added support for shaders last year...

It's coming along quite well.

It gets rid of a _lot_ of Metal boilerplate in a way that feels like natural Swift…

Even though there's some fallout here on mastodon about today… a good portion of it the site is calm random shit about anything at all and i dig that.
