   @schwa I need to write one for the savory pies they think are British / Aus / NZ steak pies here. I feel like they forget to put butter in the crust very often

     My cornish pasty reviews:

     * some place in San Luis Obespo that has since closed down: avocados are delicious but do not belong in a Cornish pasty

     * that place by the pier in Seattle. Terrible. Confused empanadas.

     * that pasty shop in Port Townsend, WA. Better than no pasty but far from authentic.

     * cornish pasty shop in Flagstaff AZ, and reheated the next day, and eaten in a dusty highway rest area in mojave: amazing. Best Cornish pasties in the US

     I’ve found a reason to see more of AZ
