It's interesting chatting with non-tech people about the wave of age verification laws. They are broadly in favor. The same way nobody actually cared when cell phones were going to track everyone everywhere.
@skinnylatte I followed some of the Buddhist subreddits a few years ago but gave up. Not a welcoming place - elitist and intolerant. Very non Buddhist actually, which had me a little flabbergasted.
I spend 95% of my time on Linux, and occasionally use Dolphin - the file manager in #kde.
Somehow I can never get it to look and feel quite right no matter how much I tweak the settings. Explorer may be the only thing I actually miss from Windows.
@killyourfm@lminiero as an experiment you could go to pc part picker, build a system of equivalent performance and write that down - see how far off the mark once it's announced :)
Ok I need to put a KDE, noob friendly distro on my wife's aging Surface Laptop. I was thinking Mint but it doesn't come with KDE? Looking at EndeavorOS but it might be too Arch-y?
