@gamingonlinux AFAIK this is specifically because Threads is one of the networks that downplays any external links, because it's optimising for retention *within* Threads.

@gamingonlinux yup, best guess at the moment, current culprit might be the one I routed all the way up through the floor and I really don't want to have to redo that one.

Downloads have been a little slower than expected (like 100Mbps) for a while, somehow my dumb brain assumed it must be the service uploads or something. Dumb me never did a speed test. I'm getting 1/10th my gigabit. What.

@killyourfm This is one I just don't get - we should be at a stage now where people can just always take the latest drivers, at least on Ubuntu. Windows users don't have to think about this at all.

Pro-tip though - install the Windows bootloader on a different drive to Grub. Been doing that for years now with basically no issues.
