@TTimo it's such a hard problem to solve as you need to finely tune your streaming settings for quality and latency and as soon as you have users too far away they have buffering issues. Not having a CDN really sucks. Having the bandwidth isn't enough
@a1ba I like that Owncast is dedicated to live streaming and has a nice discovery interface on their website. Plus the easy deployment into a cloud provider.
Peertube - looks pretty well featured and solid, I might request an account on makertube.net, that gives me an excuse to use some software by Framasoft :)
@TTimo owncast and peertube. Both have it's pros and cons, like owncast allows authorizing in chat by sending code in DMs, peertube on other hand allows webtorrent for streaming, but doesn't have it's own chat implementation (instead uses thirdparty plugin).
