    i want to draw, i am tired of procrastinating and being scared of drawing because of the mistakes i "might" make

    this is a post for all of tumblr, you can comment/ask for me whatever you want to be drawn, whether its from a fandom, a character from a movie/game, or a really cool rock you found on the beach, and i will try my absolute best to try and draw it/them on my sketchbook with my pencil, because im a very new beginner, i will be drawing using only pencil and paper, the progress will be posted here

    I WILL BE DOING THIS DAILY IN ORDER TO HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE FOR MISSING A DAY, (or you will, i hope some tumblr user is crazy enough to yell at me like a drunk neighbor whenever i miss a day)

    I REALLY wanna be included in that inktober a lot of artist talk about, but i will start my warmup from now

    here are the rules:
    1. you can send references, images, sketches, whatever as long as its not some complicated berserk or junji-ito type shit
    2. ABSOLUTELY NO NSFW OR FURRY, not that i hate furries or nsfw, its that every drawing im gonna make will be public, and i dont want anyone i know to find this on my profile
    3. please keep it simple, i will up the bar whenever i feel like i am skilled enough to dive in (or yall can tell me if im good enough for it)
    4. yes, some of the drawings will be bad and wacky, but that's kinda the point, to prove that every great artist has a truckload of shit pieces that is too embarrassing to show; and since im an absolute noob at drawing and have nothing to lose i will try to be that stepping stone to show my real time progress, good and bad, to try and become a great artist and to prove everyone that there is nothing to be afraid of, and MAN do i wanna become great at SOMETHING in my boring ass life
    5. do not be shy or afraid of requesting whatever you want, consider it a free commission, there are no consequences to your actions (dont take it too far doe)
    6. for now i will be the one picking the stuff that i will be focusing on for the rest of the day if i could draw it (that might change in the future to polls if this post somehow became big enough), if i cant i will pick another character, the goal is that i wont sleep until i finish a piece and become satisfied with it.
    7. Specifically for fedi, ironic shit like "draw hitler/a woman getting raped/draw her giving birth" wont be picked, so dont even try :)

    i would like to call this the #inktober_warmup or something like that, so that everyone is welcome to try and join with me on this journey by drawing alongside me, however if you are a very good artist, could i please ask you to try and not be very good? i know its kind of a silly thing to ask, but this whole thing is mainly for noobs who cant draw for life and too scared/anxious to start/continue, and while your drawings and contributions may be pretty, it could also be soul crushing for some of the noobs out there and might cause some self doubt ("i will never be as good as X" tye of sabotage)

    but yeah other than that, go ham, go silly, and most importantly...

    call me delusional but I am going to try and figure out how to be an artist and make money out of it in the age of AI in order to prove a point
