@dansup didn’t you learn from meta that it’s just not possible to make a iPad app for a picture based social network? ;-)

@dansup pretty sure that was a conscious choice by mastodon to avoid prioritising an instance.

But I agree having to select an instance is very confusing and having such a simplified sign up is a massive win for onboarding.

How would you recommend they fund themselves?

It's not about AI actually doing as good a job, it's about bosses/clients thinking it can.
