@Martoni @GossiTheDog "af" is a gen z abbreviation for "as fuck", as in "queer as fuck". Unabashed, badass... but unfortunately they probably did not think through the TLD ownership concerns. I think Gandi even surfaces some of these new TLDs as suggested when other options like "queer . com" were unavailable (not sure about .af specifically though). Lots of sites now use ".io" (British Indian Ocean territories, used because of "input-output") and ".tv" (Tuvalu, used because of "television")

I was curious about the derivative of the amount of daylight over time (or, to put it more simply, how the rate of change in day length varies from day to day throughout the year), and came across these lovely charts: http://wordpress.mrreid.org/2014/10/19/rate-of-change-of-day-length-with-latitude/

While at higher latitudes it appears that the greatest rate of change occurs around November, here in Boston around 42° it looks like the change is most drastic about six to seven weeks from now, around October 19 🌈

@emma Right, I had made an edit to that one based on earlier comments. What I had meant to say was that it also uses ActivityPub, but I see now that it's better to just talk about defederation generally rather than making mention of any one instance. Are you able to see the updated version of (4/10)?

@bot Thanks for the edit -- what I meant was that Truth Social uses ActivityPub. I edited to remove mention of any specific instances to avoid misrepresentation and to possibly quell the absolute deluge of vitriol I am now getting 🥴 Let me know if you have other edits
