I sound like a broken record, but:

We need an international climate court.

Corporations and countries promoting fossil fuels while island nations sink, people die in wildfires, and people are killed by extreme weather events are crimes against humanity.

Nations are already under the sway of the fossil fuel lobby, so it depends on international entities to address this.

He summoned a mob, some of whom were armed, in the weeks before J6, telling them the election was stolen. He was inviting them to something called the 'stop the steal' rally. People attending knew beforehand the plan was to march on the Capitol, and this just happened to be on the day Congress was certifying the election results. In the midst of breaking into the Capitol, he tweeted that he loved them. Now it's time for your block.

Click on local.

My local is packed out with people speaking in nine different languages. It doesn't seem to be very local at all, and I am instantly reminded that there are Mastodonians from all over the world.

In among the languages I don't speak, there's an eclectic selection of English speakers.

I don't do it too often, but I enjoy it there.
