    @SuperDicq yeah having not used gnome three I don't have any of that context but having switched to gnome 40 after years of slowly losing my marbles on tiling WM bullshit it impressed me a lot with how usable it is, in particular with how little customizable it is

    software customization is just a distraction imo. why spend 4 hours getting it "just right" when i can install something that already works and won't tempt me into fiddling with it? i don't get the appeal. also good god the maintainability issues

    i'll never understand the fetish some ppl have for taskbars. just a waste of space 97% of the time (and that's a conservative estimate)

    i think GNOME is excellent. love how it generally avoids being bloatshit through constant reinvention. also it looks good and is snappy af on my laptop

    @nyx Literally everyone I know is diagnosed with depression and anxiety even though they all have other stuff underlying that is causing some symptoms resembling depression/anxiety to manifest, like it's ridiculous. Psychiatrists literally have a term for "your brain chemistry is fucking up with your volition" then apply that to anyone with a condition that sometimes discourages them from acting on motivations. Like, girl, what the fuck. I'm not sad because my brain is too broken to feel otherwise, I'm sad because I struggle with perseverence because my brain is too broken to always keep my ass on task.

    Psychiatry is a pseudoscience.
