It's amazing to me that the entirety of the bible can be cooked down to that single kindergarten commandment, and lose nothing for it.

The reason it's never been so distilled in religion is all the other crap gives assholes something to hide behind and confuse the issue.

Just a thought, but, what if parties were distilled down to their essence - progressive and conservative. Then those were the only parties permitted. Anyone running would run on one of those rails, and would be quite limited otherwise.

The idea being, politics is not a medium for personal expression in any form.

I could go a lot further with this, given many more words.

MEANWHILE BACK IN RADIOLAND...

So, the current state of my antenna is, it's up, straight through, no balun/un-un, and reads ~18:1 SWR.

If I understand correctly, my next step to getting it fully operational again is to adjust the element lengths and shoot it with the VNA again, yes?

Ha, yes I do have a 50 ohm load then. I might have an adapter.

Also, I have a soldering iron and would be quite interested in making something that could be useful at higher loads.

Point me at some deets, I got a bunch of typical resistors too
