A convention is a convention of governors, so it's also a semi oligarchy.

My point is that the US is a mixture of democracy and oligarchy, just like Aristotle advised. I am trying to understand, if you think democracy is bad, how will the federal government look like?

    Abolish? I don't think that's a good idea.

Sec 1 - change so that every person born to leagle resident of the US is a citizen.

Sec 2 - change so that every person who pays net taxes (tax - welfare), is counted.

    Sec 3 - abolish

    Sec 4 - don't change

The constitution, as a governing document of the states, is changed by the states after congers proposes changes.

Technically that form of government is an oligarchy. The Senate originally was an oligarchy.

Congress was supposed to be a mix of democracy and oligarchy, as proposed by Aristotle.

Are you proposing to abolish the house of representatives or restore the Senate to its former form?

@GluedToTheScreen @zephyrotv @amerika Do you mean that the states will decide either by congress or by a convention of governors?

Historically gov. have done more atrocities than private companies. I trust gov. even less than i trust private corporations.

The idea that we should force people to pay for something YOU (or me) think as good, is not moral.

I prefer that it would be done by private companies who allow a high amount of user oversight

In a free market, how can a corporation make money without delivering value to the customers?

A person writes a book. Its a hit! It brings joy and happiness to millions. They freely give him money for his book abd he becomes a millionaire.
He adapts it to movie and brings even more joy and happiness to humanity. As a by product he becomes a multi millionaire.
He creates a corporation to manage parks and rides, and people just can't get enough.

    His company is worth trillions.

At what point those this person become evil?

@aral So maybe a more precise way to put it is:

Money is societies most basic necessity.
Fractional reserve banks are based on fraud.
The gold Debasing the dollar by FDR and Nixon was the biggest monetary crime in human history
