Was trying to figure out what had triggered a nasty #migraine overnight that required twice as much medication as usual. I somehow forgot that I had a jaw full of dental freezing yesterday morning.

I hadn't known that dental work/freezing could be a trigger, but then again I almost never see a dentist, so I suppose I wouldn't know.

Any other #migraineurs find that to be the case? Some big weather swings in the last 25hrs too I suppose, which can be triggering.

A batch of #bread just into the oven. Bodes well for breakfast. Plenty of time before bed to wrap up the bake.

Yay, bread done. Two big loaves and a little bread-pan loaf.

A little #3Dprinting project today - I pulled together this phone holder for the workshop.

I invariably put my phone down somewhere and forget about it then have to hunt around for it later. This lets me keep it visible, supports charging while in situ, and keeps the charger cable handy.

Will share it for your printing enjoyment on #Printables when I get a chance.

@bobjonkman indeed. Hard to know these days, esp if new. But being from a thrift store I assume it's likely been years, maybe decades since it was made, and it had a life with someone already. Possibly made before low-cost CNCs arrived.

Also a high probability those sorts of crafts were carved by poor artisans somewhere in South Asia or Africa to earn income from tourists, maybe with templates/pantograph as you say, but maybe just slogging away repetitively. @intothewestaway

@koen_hufkens Had a discussion about this with a fellow veteran-engineer this weekend, about how designers are neglecting the basic #UX concept that systems should fail to manual.

I have a touch-activated faucet in my new home which, when batteries fail, just doesn't let you have water. Fail-to-manual is a much more sensible approach than locked out of your car, or can't have water.

With the latest exodus from the #birdshite, I'm hearing lots of tech/social-media "experts" doing interviews, talking about the social media landscape and #Bluesky versus #Threads.

Somehow they never – or barely – mention the issue of centralized corporate ownership and Mastodon/Fedi and the federation concept get no mention at all.

Besides being shoddy journalism, it makes them look quite ill-informed on their supposed core expertise.

Oh stop letting him talk constantly. Moderators need to shut him down.

Will be interested to see the total speaking times tally for each candidate.
