I've heard there are a bunch of fruits in South America that have a very short shelf life, and for which transport is pretty much impossible. It makes me want to do a fruit tasting tour down there.

I don't typically have Asian pear, but got some in our oddBunch box recently. On the plus side, its shelf life seems quite long, and it has a nice crunch, but its pretty much flavourless.

So we've enjoyed it as a texture mostly – eg on oatmeal porridge, in regular or fruit salad.

Do you buy Asian pear often? Is it always flavourless, or is it just what we get here?

Reading how Netflix is worried about how their normal binge-watching model might be obsolete because people are watching short things on Tiktok and so they need to provide "easier-to-finish" entertainment: "the company is now experimenting with shorter, more "finishable" content."

Yeah, so modern culture is transitioning away from our current long attention spans. 🫠

With Japan talking to NATO lately, and pushing its defense spending to 2% of GDP, perhaps NATO should become the Non-Authoritarian Treaty Team Organization (NATTO) and then Japan would join for sure.
