#FotoVorschlag 'Gegenlicht'

I drove to this spot a couple of times during the year. That day, I didn't know what to expect either but I was just right in time to have the sun rising over the #mountains and the #fog on the lake.

Just 15 min later, the fog had vanished - and I was just glad for the experience I made.

Am I the only one who gets really tired after such extreme temperature changes/drops? 🥱
We now have cozy 16°C outside (~20° less than 2 days ago) ..

We are often complaining about the Deutsche Bahn (the railway company in Germany).

But getting stuck in traffic jams, stop and go and arbitrary delays when driving on highways (or.. Driving off the highways to get around a total traffic jam and get arbitrary delays) is totally okay.

Just another photo from our walk around #peretshofen that I haven't shared here yet. Nothing special - just a chapel / small church and a tiny cemetary at the end of a grass-road.

I took a similar photo last year. This time I tried to add more natural elements as a frame for the photo.

A friend recently wrote me on Instagram that she can understand me, leaving the platform.

Her wishes / pain points:
* reduce my screentime
* get out of doomscrolling
* Not having to check every post whether it's AI generated (= Authenticity)
* funny cat videos
* book recommendations

Quite Fediverse ... what she doesn't mention: privacy, big tech, federation

And then I thought about the websites promoting the fediverse. Well - it's just adressing different target groups.

Ha, good that I'm still a registered android developer, so my protest hopefully also tells that people aren't happy.

Maybe I'm gonna write the EU representatives tomorrow as well. It's really a shame what's going on there.

When I saw the topic, I wasn't sure wether I should post a mountin photo or not. But as I have seen so many others doing so, I decided to also post this "view from above" from ~3 months ago when I went to this mountain and enjoyed not only the silence but also the view.

It's just so awesome to see #loops videos in my timeline

I think I just had THE fediverse moment:
Scrolling through my timeline watching text posts, photos, a peertube video...A short video.

"ah nice MTB video" , I thought. Until I saw the handle: someone@loops. Wait.. I see a loops here. This isn't just a video. This is a video on A DIFFERENT Service. And I can seamlessly interact with it.

A new service just integrated seamlessly into my timeline. No "connect your account", no "extra app", no "extra login", no, it's just there

This is #fediverse

My #silentsunday.. I only had a chat with two guys at the summit and one guy a bit below.

Besides that... 4-5h silence. If we don't count the minutes I was following the activities of a woodpecker a couple of meters away from me 😊

It took me really efforts to get out. But - as usual - it was worth it.
