@br00t4c 1000 people were dying a day during the pandemic & nobody gave a toss, they were too busy screaming about their right to go on holiday & not wear a mask. After that experience I realised that a large percentage of people don't really give a shit about anybody else dying, in fact I found that for a lot of people it is performative & the pandemic showed us who those people were...

@br00t4c it's easy, tax the super rich, use that money to build houses via the local authority (not private enterprise) train local people to do the work via apprenticeships, back to work schemes & supported placements. Then do the same with the roads, then nationalise the railway, water, electricity, all infrastructure that is important to this country's very existence & prosperity. Create a strong foundation & watch us grow...

@br00t4c it is because the trusts are operated by slopey shouldered clueless fuckheads and the people of the very top of the trusts really don't give a shit about data integrity they will always find a patsy to string up and hand to the ICO and the CQC. They don't care about anything other than protecting themselves from unwanted media attention...

@br00t4c we are still paying over 20% more for stuff than we were 2 years ago & that number is still going up. The Tories claim they couldn't do anything about the biblical profiteering that was driving inflation but now it has come down they are running a victory lap for it. What did they actually do, what policies or interventions were they responsible for, last I remember they were blaming workers & telling them to reject pay rises & to stop being so greedy. Fuck the motherfucking Tories...

@br00t4c I am honestly curious if they have made peace with Trump as president & I wonder what their calculation is as to what happens after Trump & if they feel that another Trump presidency will change things for the better by either being so bad that the democratic party are forced into a new direction or is there a hope to destroy all parties in attempt to change politics forever & how that calculation will actually bring about the right kind of change?

@BethanyBlack possibly, but I think it has more to do with watching my father (who I look very much like) going from a 6ft 2 18 stone giant to an emaciated skeleton within 8 months, I was 18 & he was 49 when he died. I then watched his dad & brother die in very much the same way within the next 5 years, I have more to fear from my own genes than I could ever fear from the people I see fighting their own battles with illness & disabilities around me.

@BethanyBlack this idea haunts my every waking hour, not knowing when this will strike, what the effects will be & if I have done enough over my life to mitigate the worst effects of it, I am 44 and slowing down and the stalker is starting to catch up, it is coming to us all eventually & it's the not knowing that kills you...😬
