@RamenCatholic I also once dreamed that Canada decided that Alaska was part of their country now. The U.S. news channels were filled with reporters who were talking about how sad they were to lose it.
When I was a kid, a family friend gave us his old gaming setup and a few games to play on it. This was something my family could not afford to buy ourselves. We played those games for years and loved them. 🎮
I’m thinking of him tonight and hoping his generosity was rewarded in some way when he least expected it.
@bicmay I’m sorry this is still an issue for teens. I struggled to have enough time for sleep when I was in high school. So much homework and studying, not to mention extra-curriculars and part-time work.

My parents took their kids on many nature walks and hikes when we were growing up which is where my love of nature and rambling outdoor walks comes from.
One time we walked by a dried-up old pond and saw an abandoned beaver’s lodge there.
I still think about that lodge sometimes and hope the beavers who lived there built wonderful new homes in nearby bodies of water.
Science fiction author, social media assistant, and a peaceful soul who wants to admire all of your pet photos…especially if they’re of rabbits. I’m allergic to most furry pets, so I’m living vicariously through everyone who isn’t. 🐰I also love to boost and toot about art, fitness, food, prehistory (especially Neanderthals), writing, social justice, and occasional amusing stories from here in Toronto.
