    @JonChevreau

Secretary Pete would be good, but I'd go with PA Governor Shapiro.

He's an extremely good politician and campaigner who would take advantage of every opportunity to drive home the ticket's advantages while kicking the shit out of the opposition's vulnerabilities.

I have no idea why you chose to completely change the focus. The author is in Japan, talked to a professor, not anyone in the government and spoke with people in allies outside of Europe showing the widespread shock and concern over SCOTUS' insane ruling.

The immense danger to America and the free world is the point, the focus, and the topic at hand. Let's keep it there.

“If the U.S. president is free from the restrictions of criminal law, if he has that level of criminal immunity, the other leaders of the allied nations cannot trust the U.S.,” said Keigo Komamura, a professor of law at Keio University in Tokyo. “We cannot maintain a stable national security relationship.”

The world sees what we see; allowing a sociopathic narcissist in the Oval Office is playing with napalm.

Our job is unchanged. We go out and do what we've been doing. Inform the uninformed of all the progress Joe Biden has made to begin the repair of 40+ years of Reagonomic damage, his acceleration of the renewable energy transition, his commitment to gun safety and the danger of TFG.

    Biden is winning!

OK, well, no one is actually winning 4&1/2 months before the end of voting, but Biden is now ever so slightly ahead in the 538 polling average, a very real change in the wake of the conviction of the former guy on 34 counts of business fraud for the purpose of covering up intentional and illegal voter deception.

Think it would be bad if it no longer was available to a lot of women, millions of women, maybe every woman in America?

    Why?
The protesters, many reportedly not students, broke into the building in the middle of the night and vandalized the interior in their effort to blockade themselves inside.
This is well beyond civil disobedience, both unnecessary for and potentially detrimental to achieving their goals.7
Lots of regular folks who reacted with empathy to heavy handed removal of protesters occupying open spaces (generally against long established rules) are repelled by this tactic.

There are in fact 2 choices on Election Day, 2024, #ProtectOurFreedoms / #DefendDemocracy vs. Fascism

    There's no 3rd choice.

If you pick 3rd party or don't vote, you are choosing fascism.

Taking steps to identify and prevent the proliferation of (mostly) intentional disinformation is entirely orthogonal to supporting free speech.

Taking steps to elevate and propagate intentional disinformation is not in anyt way supporting free speech. It is supporting attacks on democracy.

You missed the part where the Union subsequently negotiated sick days in their final agreement. Biden didn't screw the railway workers in any way shape or form.

To the contrary, they praised the administration for making it possible for them to get what they needed.

This ruling is absolutely a direct result of the election of Biden and Harris as President and Vice President.
