@gwynnion I don't understand why there's no appetite for *actually* fighting fascism.
No direct action or even language is in play right now and it's incredibly disheartening to have the Democrats continuing to just play this like any other election.
I see "Win or die trying!" and they see "Win or try again next time".
At least we can comfort ourselves with the thought that at least this AI Bubble shall pass too, leaving behind a new global infrastructure for fraud, misinformation, and spam, ensuring that everybody involved in implementing these models will have helped make the world much worse, contributing to our collective inability to fight the global climate crisis and paving the way for the return of fascism.
No, wait, that’s not comforting. That’s the other thing.
Emotionally I'm 100% with you, knowing what the stakes are and being focused on doing everything possible to not end up in a concentration camp after 1/2025, my (desired) actions are to calmly explain the stakes, to a 4th grader (give or take...).
There are in fact 2 choices on Election Day, 2024, #ProtectOurFreedoms / #DefendDemocracy vs. Fascism
There's no 3rd choice.
If you pick 3rd party or don't vote, you are choosing fascism.
No yelling, no anger, just the facts of the stakes.
