SpaceX launched its Starship, the world’s largest rocket, on a test flight Thursday, but it broke apart after a thrilling booster catch at the pad. Communication was lost 8 1/2 minutes into the flight as the engines shut down one by one. Once controlled by a U.S.-backed Kurdish militia, the strategic Syrian city of Manbij is now in the hands of a Turkish-supported military group.
