Moral clarity ought to be politically expedient, but it isn't because far too many politicians rely on consultant polling of what is "good" to talk about, i.e. polls well, and what is not, i.e. what does not poll well.

This cedes the field to regressive-right dog-whistles and scapegoating which is what created the bad polling in the first place, idiocy!

I do understand and very much disagree.

Democrats taking steps to stop what is now a fascist party from cementing minority rule across every part of government is very much not increasing the rate of dismantling democratic infrastructure.

It's preserving the possibility of rebuilding the infrastructure MAGA Republicans have destroyed and are destroying.

There is no possibility of building or rebuilding any democratic infrastructure without first taking power back.
