Time to pull out the oscilloscope and look at how clean that output is or isn’t.

I probably wouldn’t want them either because of potential RF noise they could introduce.

#UNIX #BBS #Coconet #RetroComputing
I emailed Brian this morning and this is what he stated.
"Coconut Computing was sold in 1995. The company, and the COCONET HOST, CocoTalk, CocoMedia, and all the other software products are long gone, alas. It’s too bad because it would prove, among many other things, that we invented Emoji more than 11 years before the Japanese company did. If we’d only patented our inventions, we’d be billionaires now. :-)"

In what now feels like an annual update, crows are even more surprisingly smart than we thought. But do they have true consciousness? Research shows that crows and other corvids “know what they know and can ponder the content of their own minds,” according to STAT. This is considered a cornerstone of self-awareness and shared by just a handful of animal species besides humans.

The origins of the property tax aren’t American at all. It, instead, has roots that date back to Europe’s feudal system.
First instituted in England by William the Conqueror in 1066, the early tax system worked this way:
A king (or conqueror) took over all the land in a given territory. He would then divide it among his lieutenants and supporters, who would pay him (with money or services) in order to keep that land.
