@alex After watching bald transmog rater tell his twitch dot television chatroom they're going to suck it up and deal with it anyway, I'm came to a few conclusions:
* A lot of people consider Youtube to already be dead (soy face thumbnails, clickbait out the ass, overproduction for mundane shit, overmonitization of videos to compensate for adsense being ass, actual professional companies propping up around this shit), and I think those people already jumped ship, if they haven't they will now.
* The people that like current year Youtube WILL suck it up and watch ads, or pay for Premium.
* Orthodox Freetards that have been enjoying Freetube/Libretube/Invidious/Piped/et merda are going to find out what Nitter enjoyers were feeling earlier this year.
* One guy on /g/ implied it wasn't a conspiracy to shove ads in everyone's face, but boiling the frog to get people to pay for Premium. I agree, they want everyone on Premium ASAP.
* IF AND ONLY IF Youtube rides-or-dies by seeing high conversion rates of people over to Premium, then it's got one foot in the grave and it's fucked. Otherwise, normal people will just watch the unskippable 1/20 midrolls and suck it up.
* Anyone who actually cuts out Youtube is probably going to get politically radicalized. Who else got booted off of Youtube prior to this? Where did they end up? Exactly.
* Anyone stupid enough to build their castle on Google's sand is going to get rugpulled and deserves to.
* The big one: I don't read Google's books, but I got a buck in my wallet that says the partner program is costing them more than they're bringing in. But nobody wants to admit that making videos to live off the Google teat wasn't a sustainable business model for anyone.
I'm debating putting aside as many dollars as it'd take to buy subscriptions for all of this video/movie/music crap and take it to buy CDs and DVDs to see how far that'd get by comparison. I'm not sure I'm savvy enough to find good thrift finds for physical shit thoughbeit.

I am once again complaining about Husky.
Five minutes to start resetting to the top of the timeline every time I interact with something, two weeks to finally OoM crash and start working properly again.
