It’ll surprise nobody who remembers my praise for Asteroid City to hear that I loved The Phoenician Scheme. It’s Wes Anderson with the dials turned to max. You’ll either love it or be annoyed.

Mia Threaplton is fantastic in the lead role. Doing deadpan with aplomb.

Richard Ayoade is superb as the jungle bandit leader, Sergio.

The usual recent Wes Anderson regulars round out a stellar cast. Plus new ones.

Definitely a keeper. A film for multiple viewings. 9/10.

@WarnerCrocker I haven’t read the article yet, but does it cover how to turn people into mid-level and c-suite level employees without them going g though the entry level stage? Even if the people are coming from universities?

Some people who are into ballet are miffed that the Étoile show isn’t focused on actual ballet performances.

That would be a hard sell for the streamers, I think.

The show is a workplace dramedy that happens to be set in 2 ballet companies.

A much better choice to pull in a bigger audience. And at the same time, introduce them to some ballet and the intense work that goes on in rehearsals.

I’ve never watched or been to a ballet. I loved the show. Highly recommended.
