     @dtm We blew up the bank account with a trip to London for 25 last year. We might recoup by the time we hit the 30 year mark, but no regrets.

     We have the big 3-0 next month. We should be blowing it out, I suppose, but I have nothing planned and can’t afford to make a grand gesture right now. I think a nice dinner out will have to suffice. No Caribbean vacations, like the old days.

     @WarnerCrocker I just remembered. We’ll be in Brooklyn for our nieces wedding. That’s already going to be more than I would have spent, so that’s what we’re doing. I’ll make sure we go find some killer pizza. Brooklyn is lovely in the fall.

     @WarnerCrocker Fortunately for me, my wife doesn’t seem to care much about things like anniversaries. She usually forgets. She’s been away on vacation with friends more than once on our anniversary. We don’t make a big deal about birthdays and never celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s just not who we are.

     I should probably make dinner reservations, though.
