I routinely identify myself to others as a trans woman for similar reasons (safety, acceptance, etc) but...
I'm an enby.
A pretty damn girly enby but still...
an enby.

The trans community has two days that it marks during the year. One is Trans Day of Visibility (March 31st) and the second, Trans Day of Remembrance (Nov 20th)
Basically they’re to say:
“Hey! We exist. We deserve rights.”
and
“Please stop murdering us.”

Ow, quit it.
Ow, quit it.
Ow, quit it.
In today’s installment for Trans Awareness Week, a little bit on the shapeshifting that trans people go through to transition.
Some of the things we do are purely for aesthetic purposes.
Other things like surgical interventions are for distancing ourselves from what we look like… so we can feel comfortable and right in our body.
Other things we do are for safety purposes.
Not all trans people follow the same path or do all the same medical, legal and social changes for transition though. It is far from easy, and in almost every aspect of it; physically, socially, emotionally… rather painful.
Is it because many of my responses to Terra include me prefacing it with the 🎶 brown chicken, brown cow music? 😆
I mean… *flips hair and twirls head a little*
I could make a healthy living as a working girl… *healthy living. *wiggles hips*
But alas I’m not a working girl.
@Terra
In all seriousness, I have a hard time navigating what is actually stylish, what is me trying to live out what would have been my young, womanhood dressing in the 90s or just my doofus way of dressing.
I bought myself what I *thought* was a stylish denim skirt and my wife promptly said all I was missing were trainers, a bible and my hair put up in a giant bun.
No shade to any Pentecostal ladies in the house.

I agree with Terra's take. And although legally, I guess copying and distributing FTW isn't necessarily stealing, it does come across as an ethical slight against the trans community and Mira's legacy.
@Hey_Beth
This reminds me of how I stumbled across the account of Jason Mamoa on here.
He has on his verified Insta account more than 17 million followers.
I guess he never quite gained any traction here. Not sure if it's because he didn't really converse/interact with anyone or maybe the audience here just doesn't lean toward being star struck.
If it was the second reason, that could have been overcome by interacting with people here.
Also... just for you Beth
