I often say I'm "about as close to trans woman as an enby gets", but I still don't want to be a woman. But often "women and nonbinary" spaces require me to check things out first every time to see if they mean what they say.

I routinely identify myself to others as a trans woman for similar reasons (safety, acceptance, etc) but...I'm an enby.
A pretty damn girly enby but still...an enby.

It makes me feel unsafe too, and I identify as a trans woman to some sometimes, mostly when I feel less likely to be accepted otherwise. If anyone excludes people that are masc (perceived, coded, or presenting) enbies (or limits people who look like that for perceived "masculinity" until they come out) you won't see me joining any of your events either.
