I understand that if this goes into practice, it will be impossible to overturn by any future administration or president. This is really taking advantage of poor people. The story I listened to said something along the lines of "...people rely on overdraft protection so that they can still buy necessities." That is 100% indicative of the financial war on ordinary folks and how banks continue to fleece us.

I'm pretty happy to no longer be on Facebook, but one thing I miss is yelling at the people who told me to "calm down" in 2015 and '16. Those fuckers. They don't even remember telling me that. Now look where we are! It's turning out even worse than I predicted. Nobody likes a Cassandra, and nobody remembers abusing us, either. Human beings are so... ughh.

I got asked today if I was going to help facilitate poetry writing sessions if I would be willing to not wear my #mask.

That is 100% a no go.

People don't fucking understand that when you're in a group with people who aren't part of your household, don't fucking share air.

Now I need to figure out a way to diplomatically say that to this person.

Which sucks. I would like to lead poetry writing groups. Maybe just not meant to with them.

@jeffowski I would be interested to know what you carry in yours. I need to replenish mine. I used to carry different things in it than I need to now, though. For example, my ex owned a handgun, so I had the right kind of chest plaster for both entry and exit wounds. Those might not be top of my list now, because random knife wounds seem to happen more often than bullet holes.

Here's a rookie mistake I made with my dog after not having one for over 20 years:

When I was first training Miles, I made my voices different for correction and praise. My correction voice is close to my normal voice, but sterner. My praise voice is a ridiculous baby voice with lots of lilting and happy sounds -- which is fake and exhausting.

I figured that by age 2 I would be able to forgo the baby voice.

I COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG. I'm stuck with the baby voice now. 🤦🏽

TL;DR: #COVID fucks up the immune system and AGES your cells. Recovery of vital immune cells can take months, even years. Adults have a LIMITED ABILITY to create new immune cells bc our thymus is atrophied.

Your body does NOT develop immunity to new COVID strains, and “immunity debt” is a MADE-UP TERM that has absolutely NO BASIS in reality or how our immune systems actually work.

These dorks turned two today.

We went to the vet for weight and meds, saw grandma, and did a trike run to new-to-them parts of the neighborhood, where the weird-people-watching was excellent.

I don’t usually do “gendered” colors with them, but the choices of large birthday scarves were really slim.

If both they had the same color on, nobody could tell them apart at a glance, because they look so much alike!
