Semi-serious question. Do HR people think they're actually workers?

Nothing personal if you're in HR but you're the ones who volunteered to ruin someone's life when the owners decide they don't want someone to be able to feed their family any more but they're too cowardly to do the deed themselves.

I've been on the receiving end of a few friends in HR who were ordered to fuck me over and they did so without hesitation, they'd make good concentration camp guards.

Entirely hypothetically, what do folk think the response of the EU would be to a neighbouring rogue state whose name rhymed with Hate Pitten if said state were to revoke the passports of trans folk?

Would we... erm I mean, the hypothetical trans folk in... erm... the dysphoric I mean dystopian novel in my head, be welcomed if they got across the Channel or the Irish Sea?

I suspect not because their record on refugees is less than perfect. I keep trying to talk myself out of advancing my escape prep but the truth is, if I didn't have four kids here I'd have already gone. Basically, since the election of Johnson the Tories have been highly unpredictable and international law doesn't seem to be the sacrosanct backstop it once was.

l'm slowly learning Portuguese. I found to my surprise that I can half-read estate agent sites now, but also I have no idea on queer Portuguese lingo so that's close to useless.

For the record I knew transition was "possible" for two decades before I was forced to go for it or die. Because of terror that I would be rejected, and I was by a lot of people. I mistimed it and only survived by "luck, as we say in the Shadowlands."

I'm typing this on an AMD box that's about 10 years old and cost me I think 700 quid. Other than the RAM speed, for 700 quid I can get a brand new PC that has... pretty much the same performance.

I'd have been thrown a bit sideways if it didn't because Koine had it and the Gospel writers used it here. Romance languages translated it that way - via the Vulgate although that's not an issue here - correctly to textual source.
