I think I said months ago that #Biden should take an adversarial stance with much of the mainstream press for a variety of reasons. After seeing the #NYT and other outlets try to *manifest* “Biden’s dropping out” like it’s WMDs in Iraq, I’m even more certain that it’s the smart thing for him to do.
According to inside sources, the biggest influences who are keeping #Biden in this race are his wife and Hunter Biden (the man who notoriously profits off his father's successes), so I have a serious question..
"The Biden-Harris 2024 campaign just announced that it raised more than a quarter billion dollars in the second quarter. Much of this money came from small dollar donations and first time donors. Crucially, donations to Biden have been surging over the past several days.
It’s more clear than ever that Democrats are uniting and rallying behind President Biden, "
This explains why #Biden is willing to sacrifice his presidency to stand by #genocide and slaughtering little brown children. It’s not just AIPAC pulling strings. It’s also further grim evidence of dementia.
If the incumbent party can answer YES to SEVEN or more of these questions, the incumbent party wins.
Lichtman has correctly predicted 9 out of 10 of the last presidential elections w/this system. His one miss was 2000, which, let's face it, was an outlier. His system did align with the popular-vote outcome then.
Here's the point. #Biden currently checks SEVEN Lichtman boxes.
Thank goodness we're not changing horses in mid-stream!
President #Biden’s reelection campaign announced it raised $264M in the second quarter, powered by $127M in June, a significant sum of money. The campaign said it will report $240M cash on hand, an increase from the $212M it claimed last month, & campaign ofcls said they raised $75M more in the second quarter than the first quarter of the year.
It raised $38M in the 4 days since the #debate in Atlanta.
Today, we [@ProPublica] are releasing the full, 21-minute interview, unedited as seen from the view of the single camera focused on #Biden. We understand that this video captures a moment in time 9 months ago & that it will not settle the ongoing arguments about the president’s acuity today. Still, we believe it is worth giving the public another chance to see one of Biden’s infrequent conversations w/a reporter.
Remember when Nixon said, 'If the president does it, it's not illegal' and the whole country collectively gasped? Everyone (on both sides) knew he overstepped. NO ONE is above the law, and the president resigned in shame.
Somehow we got to the point where the SUPREME COURT has declared, 'If the president does it, it's not illegal.' and about a third of the country just nodded in agreement. #Trump stacked the court and #Biden won't do anything about it.
"For all practical purposes, today's decision almost certainly means that there are virtually no limits on what a president can do. This is a fundamentally new principle. And it's a dangerous precedent. Because the power of the office will no longer be constrained by the law, even including the Supreme Court of the United States. The only limits will be self-imposed."
Biden’s going to speak to the nation tonight. Good. He could nail a couple of birds with one stone cold statement tonight, providing he takes some sort of executive action that he’s now free to do and that shocks a bit. #politics#SCOTUS#Biden
