Very happy to finally also use #GrapheneOS on a Pixel 8 Pro. 🎉 The Web-installer works really like a charm - never flashed an #Android that simple - and I like the #minimalist design of the OS. Everything else I need to find out now. 😉

I really hope the #Android app #PixelfedforAndroid gets fixed soon. I want to test it out on my Pixel Fold.

For 10+ years, Google has allowed #Android users to limit data sharing for online ads. We find that this setting does... NOTHING much. The same goes for Californians, when they exert their LEGAL right to limit sale or sharing of their data. #GPC

I've been reading on my #Android tablet with Moon+ Reader. I wanted to share a quote on Mastodon as an image. I once shared a highlight and exported it into Joplin.

Now I am trying to do it again in a different book and for the life of me, I cannot remember how I did it! I've tried searching and I feel like all the search engines are gaslighting me as if this option never existed. Thanks!

Question to the #Fediverse: Does anyone know a #serverless solution to sync calendars and contacts between devices (e. g. #Android and #Thunderbird) that is actively maintained?

I use #Syncthing to sync files between all my devices. Maybe there is something file-based to combine with Syncthing?

At the moment I use a #selfhosted #Nextcloud server just for these two tasks, but I would much prefer a solution that doesn't require hosting a webservice.

The #Gboard #Android app surprisingly updated the layout for tablet users to be similar to the layout for phones.

It's going to take some time to get used to. Muscle memories for keyboard layouts are not easy to “update”.

If your friends are using #Android you might have a look at the #xmpp Android app #monocleschat which has a basic sticker functionality. Sticker are sent as pictures and can also be seen on other xmpp apps that do not support stickers (if I remember it correctly).
